Travelling with Chinese friends (2)

Hydra in autumn is sweet like vanilla. The Colors, the sky, the sea, the all ideal temperature…everything just perfect.

My Chinese friends and I had a great time on the island of Hydra, then we sailed to Spetses, we enjoyed a lovely evening and an even more beautiful night and in the morning we set sail for Zea.

And then we had a very very elegant flight to Mykonos (the photo above is from all that wonderful time we had…).

But here I am writing stories, no itineraries. Therefore here is the second story of the journey with Chinese friends:

When Confucius was traveling in the eastern part of the country, he found two children who had a strong disagreement. So, he asked them why they disagreed.

“I think,” said the one boy, “that the sun is close to us in the morning and far away from us at noon.”

The other child claimed that the sun was far away from us in the morning and close to us at noon.
“When the sun comes up in the morning,” said the first boy, “is as big as one canopy wagon, but at noon it only seems like a plate or bowl. Well, it is true that far away objects appear smaller while nearby look bigger, isn’t? “

“When the sun rises in the morning,” said the second child, “is very cool, but the afternoon is so warm, like putting your hand in boiling water. Well, it is true that what is closest to us is warmer and what is far away from us is cooler, isn’t? “

Confucius was unable to resolve the problem and to provide them an answer.

The two children laughed at him.

“Who said you are a wise man?”

The Celebrity and Media Fam Trip – that I had the honor to participate and co-design – was organized by My Odyssey Tour Operator

Our flight from Athens to Mykonos was done by the very elegant jet company K2 Smartjets. It was so smooth and enjoyable for us that we were sorry it didn’t last more…
